Beginner's Basket
Class Description:
This is a beginner class. You will learn the seven basic skills needed for most basket designs:
1. Wrapping a wood handle.
2. Laying out the base with staves.
3. Incorporating a handle.
4. Twinning the base for stability.
5. “Upsetting” the basket.
6. Weaving.
7. Attaching and lashing a rim.
All advanced basket classes will require this basic class first.
Fee: Payable by cash, check or credit card
$60.00 for HWFA members (must have completed orientation at time of registration)
$70.00 for non-HWFA members

Additional information:
Park at the Historic Johnson Farm Interpretive Center and walk to the Boarding House. Handicapped parking is available at the Boarding House. Please note, as a historic building, the Boarding House is not handicapped accessible.
